Our Butter Chicken is the dish most Brampton guests order first. Boneless chicken is marinated overnight, then folded into a slow-simmered tomato, butter and cream gravy — rich, gently spiced and built for scooping up with hot naan.
Butter chicken — murgh makhani — is the dish that put Punjabi cooking on the world map, and at Friendz Dhaba we make it the long way. The chicken goes into a yoghurt, ginger, garlic and kashmiri chilli marinade the night before, then it is seared off in small batches so every piece picks up colour and depth before it ever touches gravy.
The makhani gravy is cooked down separately from ripe tomatoes, butter, cashew and a restrained hand of garam masala, then finished with cream and crushed kasuri methi. The result is the version Brampton regulars come back for: silky rather than sugary, warm rather than fiery, and generous enough to share. It travels well too, which is why it is our number one menu item for takeout and delivery across the city.
Nothing is pre-portioned into a microwave tray. Every batch is cooked to order, the gravy is simmered in small batches so it never splits, and each order is finished to your spice preference. Ask for it mild for the kids or turn the heat up — the kitchen adjusts before it leaves the pass.
Garlic tawa naan or an aloo paratha is the classic pairing, and jeera rice soaks up whatever gravy is left in the bowl. If you are feeding a table, add a vegetarian dish such as Dal Makhani or Karahi Paneer, plus a raita to cool everything down. Finish with Gulab Jamun.

“This is proper butter chicken — you can actually taste the masala and the chicken instead of just cream and sugar. We order it for family dinner at least twice a month and it is consistent every time.”

“Ordered for pickup on the way home from work at Bram Court. Portion was huge, gravy was still hot when we got home, and the naan was fresh. Easily the best butter chicken I have had in Brampton.”

“I grew up on my mum's makhani and this is the closest I have found here. Not too heavy, properly balanced spice, and the staff let me order it medium for me and mild for my daughter.”

No — it is one of our mildest curries by default. It is creamy and lightly spiced, which makes it a safe choice for kids and for anyone new to Indian food. Tell us when you order and we can make it medium or hot instead.
The gravy is thickened with a cashew paste, so it is not nut-free. The curry itself contains no wheat, but the naan and paratha served alongside do. Please tell the kitchen about any allergy when you place your order.
